Remember Danny's intelligent insights in AP English, 11th grade. Somehow, I felt a kindred soul in literary sensitivity and writing.   Wish I knew more...

I remember Dan from CWRU being fraternity brothers with him at Sigma Alpha MU. Dan and I (along with Steve Yulish of blessed  memory also in our class of 1965 and fraternity brothers at Sigma Alph Mu) worked as inspectors for the Ohio State Dept of Highways the summer after our sophmore year at CWRU. The three of us first worked as inspectors while they were building interstate 77 and then later in the summer traveling to the various state fairs setting up the exhibits for the highway department at many county fairs throughout Ohio. We spent a lot of time together that summer and had a lot of fun.  Dan graduated in my class at CWRU with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1969. After graduation he married Ann Warszawski (also from Heights and I think in our class). Dan and his bride moved to Israel in the early 70's. They had 2 (maybe 3 kids, don't remember). After getting cancer in Israel they moved back to Cleveland aound 1975 (when we reconnected) with the hope of being cured at the Clinic. Unfortunately the cancer had spread to far.

I was probably the tallest girl in our class in junior high school and the dances and compulsory social dancing classes were  always a miserable experience for me in part because I was much taller than most of the boys. Danny was at one point about the only boy taller than I was. He very kindly would choose me for his partner, probably out of sympathy for the tall, skinny, geek that I was. I never really got to know him at all,but have always remembered that  kindness during those socially awkward, angst filled times.

Roz  so sorry to hear about your brother. For some  reason I did not realize that you were twins. Again you have my sympathies ..

I remember when Dan and Ros came to Boulavard. I had met them previously at Hebrew school and was happy when they were in my class. I remember Dan as quiet, shy but very smart. We had a wonderful class that    For the most part got along very well. As Dan continued to meet the class members he excelled in his studies and built friendships.  RIP
