Barbara Zucker Nearier

Moved to Florida in 1976 with my sister. Worked as an Executive Assistant until 1982 when I became a Cosmetologist. Bounced around the Salon circuit working for a number of large salons in south Florida. Managed a salon for my sister and her husband. Went to work in an awful salon for 5 1/2 years, then joined the staff of David and Company, Boynton Beach and have managed his salon in north Delray Beach. Currently working for the same owner in mid Delray. this is his 3rd salon in this area. I am just a colorist/stylist and am loving it.

I am currently still employed. I work for The Salon in Delray Beach. Working 4 days a week doing color cut and blow dry.

Last September I traveled to Sydney Australia with my niece and 2 other friends. It was an amazing experience.

We lost my sister Laurie Zucker Morris who many of you may know in August 2024. This left me as mama to he 15 yo pup Wiley. I asked him to give me a year. He gave me a year month and 3 days. We were blessed. I still have Muffy my sheepdog Muffy.

I’ve acquired 2 new roommates. My brother, Gerald Zucker and his 7 y o kitty Mercedes. Gerry graduated CHHS in 1968. Right now we’re talking about selling my house and moving to a villa in the Delray/Boynton area. Life is interesting and sometimes sad but we keep moving ahead one step at a time.





Recently changed positions in the world of cosmetology. I am now working at “THE SALON” on Jog Road in Delray Beach Florida. A very good move for myself and my clients. If you are in the area my new work number is 561 496-6737. Come see me❤️

Things have changed again. Our home has been rebuilt and we are busy refurnishing and recreating our lives. Many items were misplaced or stolen after the fire. So figuring out our current reds has been somewhat challenging.

Unfortunately my beloved husband Les, has been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks with a severe EColi infection which has affected his major organs. He has excellent doctors and we’re are looking forward to a good outcome.

Update on my beloved husband Les. On February 3 2019 I lost my wonderful friend. Love. Husband Playmate and partner to complications of biliary failure. I am heartbroken and only go on because I have the second love of my life. Our Old English Sheepie Muffy. He is now my reason to go onas les would want

Here it is 2022. I am still cutting and coloring at THE SALON in DELRAY Beach Fl. Muffy and I have chosen to stay in our home in Lake Worth Fl. Good decision. Making a life single has not been easy but with the help of Family, Framily and Friends we muddle on. Looking forward to seeing you in August ❤️.

UPDATE ON LIFE


Here I am in 2025 living with my 2 beautiful fur children Muffy (OES) and Wiley my beloved late sistevr’s rescue I’m still working 4 days a week as a hairdresser. Better than staying home. I’ll be getting a roommate in the next few monthss. My brothers Gerald will be moving in with me and my fur kids. Along with him I gain Mercedes s delightful feline. And so life goes.
