His family ran Miether's ice cream store (Taylor Rd., I think) and his father was a fine antique clock collector and restorer.  Eddie was a classmate at Noble School and afterward, and I saw a good deal of him in my machine shop classes.  He was a superb craftsman then and doubtless still is.  He was welding a race-car frame together when last seen.  (I still cannot weld worth a hoot.)
