Thia and I lived together in Kent in the late 60s. We were living the hippy lifestyle and moved to California after we graduated in 1969. We drifted apart in 1970 and she moved to San Francisco. She died in the early 80s of AIDS but they diagnosed it as cancer. She was a very talented artist and worked for Addressagraph Multigraph in their art department. I only saw her twice after we parted and attended her memorial at the Methodist church on Lee Rd. she was the epitome of the eponymous flower child of the 69s and 70s.

I did not know Cynthia very well, The only memory I have of her is that she was a gentle soul. She always appeared kind and sweet. It is sad to see so many classmates have departed. We will miss them all as we pause to remember how each one influenced our lives.

I envied her confidence & poise. It struck me that she looked like an artist, someone I wanted to be. It's strange how I used to compare my insides with others' outsides.
