I remember Charles as a thoughtful person with a great sense of humor. He passed away in August 2012.
Charlie Wolfson (Senor Lobo), 65, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Cleveland and St. Louis, beloved husband of Simone; cherished brother of Renny and brother-in-law and friend to Anne Marie; beloved son of Beatrice (z''l) and Milton (z''l) Wolfson and Miriam Shuler Wolfson; devoted uncle of Kimberly and Amanda Wolfson; godfather of Kyle Campbell; caretaker for Paco and the late Scarface and Lily; beloved friend of many, died on Aug. 21 in the presence of his loving family. Charlie graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1965 and from Washington University. He served as a college administrator, an opera company executive, a securities analyst, and a financial advisor before retiring to Key West in 1994 where a community of artists, sailors, trades people and others became devoted to his friendship, his quiet humor, his intellect, and peacefulness. His generous devotion to his friends and family will never be forgotten nor how his enthusiasm for opera, film, sports, chess, and literature enriched his relationships and elevated him above the mundane.
