In Memory

Norma Blasenstein

Norma and I were friends at Roosevelt. We used to call her "Normal". I always hoped I would see her at a reunion. Although we don't have a specific year, she died of illness in the 90's.

I am very sad to hear that Norma has passed away. She was in my Homeroom at Heights. She was a very beautiful girl and very smart. Most of all she was very kind and was always a pleasure to be around. We planned our Senior year homeroom dinner and it turned out to be a lot of fun. My deepest regrets to all who loved and admired Norma. May God rest her soul.

Norma was my friend all the way back to Coventry Elementary.  I was always sad that I never saw her again after we graduated from Heights.   Rest in Peace, Norma.

Linda and I used to walk home from Coventry with Norma.  Her Mom would invite us in. She was as kind and beautiful as Norma. Norma played the piano beautifully. I am sad that we never saw her after graduation. We suspected she had passed away. So sad to read that is in fact what happened. She had a beautiful soul.

I remember Norma from Roosevelt. in addition to being very pretty she was very nice and approachable. She never demeaned others and was kind to all. I remember at my Bar Mitzvah party I got to courage to ask her for the first dance. Made my day!  She will be missed.

I had a huge crush on Norma when we were in 5th and 6th grade at Coventry Elementary. Norma was always beautiful, graceful, and so smart!

Norma, I will never forget you.
