School Story

Went to Kent State and graduated in 1969 with a degree in Elementary Education. Got married March, 1971 to Marty. Became pregnant in April 1972 and had Julie in December, 1972. Retired from teaching in June 1972 and was pregnant most of the time for the next 4 years! Came out of my retirement in 1988 and went back to substituting. Really enjoyed school libraries and got a contract with Cleveland Municipal School District and began a Masters' program at KSU. Graduated in 1993 and worked until June, 2012.
I won a complete library makeover grant from Target in 2010 worth about $250,000, and they really loved me at my school for being one of only 16 schools nationwide to win one!
