William O'Neill

Graduated from Ohio University with degree in Journalism; US Army Vietnam; television reporter, Channel 4 Columbus; Union organizer. End of Phase I

Law School at age 30, small town lawyer, Geneva Ohio; Assistant Attorney General, State of Ohio. Married with four kids. Wife died in a car accident at age 40. Elected to Court of Appeals in Warren and served for ten years. End of Phase II

Went to Nursing School at age 50. Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse at Hillcrest. Elected to Supreme Court of Ohio at age 65. Currently serving first, and only term on the Supreme Court.

Moved to Cleveland Heights in Sophomore year from a rural town in New Jersey with a population of 3,000. Ended up at Heights with a population of 3,000 and found myself as a distinct minority as the Irish Catholic kid from New Jersey. Greatest school in the state in my mind. Gotta admit the first day of gym class in the old pool was an eye opening event! lol To this day I tell people I was the Irish Catholic kid who was raised by the jews…and became a much better person as a result of that experience.
