Donal "Jack" DaleyDonal "Jack" Daley, age 62, passed away June 27, 2009, after a 14 year battle with multiple myeloma. Beloved husband of Frances Daley (nee Yeip) of Hudson, Ohio. Jack was married to Fran for 40 years. Dear father of Matthew Daley (Salomeh) of Hermosa Beach, Calif. and Meghan Daley Reeves (Bradley) of Seven Lakes, North Carolina. Dear grandfather of Isla and Jack Daley and Brendan Donal Reeves. Dear brother of Nancy Jane Daley Gordon (Barry G.) of Sanibel Island, Fla. Jack was the founder and owner of National Pump and Process in Aurora, Ohio in 1979. He attended Lehigh University and graduated from Case Western Reserve University. A consummate prankster, whose dry sense of humor endeared him to those that knew him. His passion for family, work, and life was an example to all.People often sought him out because he was a great listener, who offered advice on any matter without judgement. He was part of the 1965 Cleveland Heights High state championship swim team, including the Four Hundred yard freestyle relay team. Their relay record remains unbroken to this day!Jack was an avid boats man who loved the "open seas" (Lake Erie). As a proud member of the Kelleys Island Fire-Lanes Society, he challenged all members to go fast no matter the terrain or obstacles. He was the former Educational Coordinator and Curator of the Witch's Castle for several years during the 1980's. Jack was also envied and admired for his annual display of his mastery of pyrotechnics on Independence Day. He was quite the history afficionado, particularly on the subject of the Civil War and World War II. On a recent Rhine river cruise, he became the tour guide for friends and strangers alike. He will be missed by many, but remembered by all.The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to International Myeloma Foundation, Suite 206, 12650 Riverside Drive, North Hollywood, CA 91607-3466. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE WILL BE HELD AT THE COUNTRY CLUB OF HUDSON, 2155 MIDDLETON ROAD, HUDSON ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 1 FROM 4-6 PM.
