I read this announcement with real sadness. Barbara was one of the kindest, most genuine persons I've ever known. Were it not for Monti Morrison and Barbara, I'm not sure I would have made it through the Heights years. We three seemed to know the same people and would often seek out each others company when we found ourselves in school and social events. Unfailingly generous of spirit and just simply a delight to know, her memroy is indeed a blessing.
I don't remember Barbara, but then again I remember very little of my days at Heigihts...having skirts checked to see they weren't too short learning about world history (Nessel Rhodes Pie and POlitical science and theatre and dreaming of living in Israel where I know live. But this really moved me and touched me to the depths. How fragile our time on this earth is and may we alal be zoche to fulfill that which HaSHem has put us here to do. May her friends and family be comforted by her memory.
Barbara’s folks and my parents were lifetime friends, and I knew her from early childhood. Outings to Euclid Beach,Round Up Lake, Strawberry Lane, etc.
